🏆 Balancing the Aerobic & Glycolytic Systems
To win races the training regime needs to match the physiology of each horse within your stable. The aerobic and glycolytic capacities need to be carefully balanced for each horse for each race distance — e.g. the Glycolytic may need to be raised or lowered depending on whether the race distance is increasing or decreasing.
Using the Equilytics Taxonomy where 8 different Training Zones are used to balance the training regime is critical to your success. Each of your favourite workouts fits within one of these Training Zones. Once that allocation challenge is completed you will have a structured methodology for balancing your training regimes.
